Code of Conduct
To keep every Saturday safe, respectful, and fun, we ask all members, players, and guests to follow this simple code. By joining and playing, you agree to it.

Respect everyone
- ·Treat teammates, opponents, referees, and spectators with courtesy and respect.
- ·Value diversity and create a welcoming environment for all.
- ·No discrimination, harassment, or bullying of any kind will be tolerated.

Play fair
- ·Follow the rules of touch rugby at all times.
- ·Encourage good sportsmanship — win or lose.
- ·Avoid rough or reckless play that could cause injury.

Support a positive environment
- ·Encourage and support your teammates.
- ·Use positive language — no shouting, swearing, or negative comments.
- ·Celebrate effort as much as skill or victory.

Take responsibility
- ·Arrive on time, ready to play, with appropriate gear.
- ·Let organisers know if you’re unable to attend.
- ·Help set up and pack down when needed.

Look after each other
- ·Prioritise safety — your own and others’.
- ·Report any injuries or unsafe behaviour to organisers promptly.
- ·Avoid playing under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Respect the space
- ·Treat fields and facilities with care.
- ·Leave the area clean — pick up rubbish and personal items.

Be a good ambassador for the club
- ·Represent the club positively in the community.
- ·Help build a fun, inclusive culture we can all be proud of.
If things go wrong
Repeated breaches may result in warnings or suspension from club activities. Let’s keep it social, safe, and well-spirited.
How the club is run
The Harlequins are run by a volunteer committee of members across five areas — President, Finance, Membership, Marketing, and Social — who keep the club moving week to week and plan the tournament calendar.
