Thursdays + Saturdays · 5–6pm
Training
Two hours a week in the Hua Hin area. Anyone can turn up — first session is free.
You arrive at Samorphrong a little before five. There's already a small group on the pitch warming up. Someone calls you over, asks your name, hands you a bib if it's a game day. You play for an hour — drills and a half-hour run-out on Thursdays, a full hour match on Saturdays. Sea breeze, a bit of dust, a few laughs. After, the people who aren't rushing somewhere walk to wherever someone's hungry.
Thursday · 5–6pm
Training + 30-min game
Skills, drills, and a half-hour run-out at the end. Sharper than Saturday, sometimes smaller.
Saturday · 5–6pm
A full-hour match
The heart of it. Samorphrong by default; about once every two months we move to Khao Takiab beach when the tides line up.
The basics
- First session is free. 100 THB per person after that — straight to the pitch hire.
- Trainers or rugby studs both work — Samorphrong is a grass pitch. Beach days are barefoot.
- We loan a bib and a ball.Bring water, a towel, and swim kit if it's a Saturday and the tide's right.
- Mixed everything — kids, adults, beginners, ex-club players, Thai, expat, men, women.
- Mostly English, some Thai. Both are fine; you don't need to speak rugby to play it.
- Just turn up.If you'd rather message ahead, drop a line via the Contact page and we'll loop you into the LINE community for the day's pitch and start time.
