Three-touch loop showing the pyramid moving straight up the field. The tip rotates: M1 → L1 → L2 → (back to M1). M2 plays scrum half every touch, consistent at the rollball mark.
What to watch
- Straight-line possession. Every carrier drives forward, not sideways. The pyramid never commits to an edge.
- Tip rotation. The touched player runs through; the deep support steps into the tip; the previous tip drops back as the new deep support.
- Defenders mirror laterally, but the touch always happens in the middle channel — no overload either way.
Why Broken Arrows works
It's relentless and slow. Each touch grinds 4-5 metres forward. The defence never gets a wide overload to defend, and the pyramid keeps reloading the same shape. Discipline beats flair.
